Hey, everybody!
Long time, no blog, I know. Believe it or not, it’s still been busy around here, even though it’s now officially fall. Activity on the lake is slowing down, but we’re still flying lots.
I made a great friend in September: Patrick. Patrick spent most of the month in Seattle on vacation: he, his wife, and their dog “Maggie” live in Chicago, but decided to live the slow life on a houseboat in Lake Union for a while. I didn’t meet Maggie, but Patrick and I got to be great buds!
Patrick is a longtime pilot of RC planes, and seeing the floatplanes on Lake Union really got his attention. He decided to start flight training with us, even though he knew he’d only be in town for a few weeks. Why not, indeed?
We had a ball – he did a great job, and if he were to have stayed in town much longer, he’d most likely be a solo student pilot! As it is, we look forward to seeing Patrick again when he’s in town (especially me, ‘cuz he brings me treats!)
